NCAA March Madness

For its 16th year as an official sponsor of the tournament, Capital One launched the latest chapter of its star-studded and fully integrated Capital One Road Trip March Madness campaign starring longtime spokespersons, actors Samuel L. Jackson and Jennifer Garner, and basketball greats Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson. The financial services brand and agency GSD&M released a slate of entertaining new spots featuring the crew on their newest adventure to the tournament, which also features its “Capital One Guy” spokesman and newcomer and WNBA star Caitlin Clark.

Wendy’s returns to the tournament as its “Official Dunks” partner. The QSR brand introduced a “Dunks Menu” featuring “dunkable” items for fans, the purchase of which can be made through the brand’s app and online and earn them a chance to win $100,000, limited-edition prizes and cash prizes of $1,000 as part of its “Dunkstakes.” Additionally, during the broadcasts of the Women’s and Men’s Championship games on April 5 and 6, the brand will unlock its nationwide Free Dunk for America offer, allowing fans to visit participating locations on April 7 to redeem a free “OG dunk pairing” of its fries and frosty dessert. VML produced the campaign’s promotional spots.

Roku launched its NCAA March Madness Zone, a streamlined and branded destination for fans to access the men’s and women’s tournaments created in partnership with TNT and CBS Sports. The zone will be available throughout the three weeks of the tournament and allows fans to set game reminders and check final scores. Subscribers to The Roku Channel (aff) can also catch highlights available within the zone or game replays.
