Hulu usually stops working on a TV because the service is down, the app is stuck, the connection is weak, the software is outdated, the account needs attention, or the device is no longer supported. Start with the checks that do not erase anything, then move to updates, reinstalling, and account fixes. The steps below keep you on official Hulu, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, Samsung, and LG paths.
1. Check whether Hulu is down today
Before changing TV settings, check Hulu itself. Open the Hulu Help Center and use its support or contact options, then check the official Hulu Support social account for incident posts. If other apps work on the same TV and Hulu does not, close Hulu and retry after the incident clears. Keep the TV sitting at Home > Hulu only after the outage check is done.
2. Restart the Hulu app the right way
This fixes a frozen Hulu screen, a spinning loader, or an app that opens and immediately crashes.
- 1.On Fire TV, go to Home Screen > Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Hulu > Force stop.
- 2.On Apple TV, press the TV button twice quickly, navigate to Hulu, then swipe up on the clickpad or touch surface.
- 3.On Google TV, go to Settings > Apps > Hulu > Force stop > OK.
- 4.Open Hulu again and try the screen that failed.
3. Power cycle the TV and network gear

On Roku, use Home > Settings > System > Power > System restart; skip Power when that submenu is not shown.
4. Fix the internet connection before reinstalling Hulu
- 1.Open your speed-test app or browser speed test on the same network the TV uses, then run the test.
- 2.Compare the result with Huluâs numbers: 3.0 Mbps for the Hulu…
