Division I college baseball returns at 9:30 a.m. ET on Feb. 13.

Opening Day will begin in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where Houston and Wake Forest take the field. It will close 14 hours later and nearly 4,500 miles away in Honolulu, when Hawaii hosts Gonzaga. From the Caribbean to the Pacific, the sport stretches coast to coast on day one.

This year’s college season features its most compelling individual draw in years: UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky, the top player in the 2026 MLB Draft class and a candidate to become the first player ever to win College Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. On the mound, three aces begin the spring ranked inside the top 10 for July’s draft: Coastal Carolina’s Cameron Flukey, UC Santa Barbara’s Jackson Flora and Florida’s Liam Peterson.

Beyond the star power, the usual stakes apply. Can the Big East secure multiple tournament bids after last year’s exclusion? Can LSU become just the second program to win three national titles in a four-year span? Will established coaches steady their footing while the next wave presses forward?

Those answers will unfold over four months.
