HBO Max has added 1.5 million new subscribers in under three weeks since its UK launch.
For those who missed it, HBO Max is the newest streaming service to launch in the UK, bringing a catalogue of must-see shows, Hollywood blockbusters, award-winning documentaries, and live sports via TNT Sports.
Some of these HBO boxsets and Warner Bros. blockbusters will be completely new and unavailable anywhere else, while others will be instantly familiar, having been previously available to watch via other platforms, like Netflix, discovery+, and of course, Sky Atlantic.
The 1.5 million figure comes from scaled estimates of sign-ups and service activations from Ampere Analysisâ SVoD Economics dataset. According to its analysis, HBO Max gained an impressive 1 million subscribers in under five days after it launched on March 26, 2026.
