France host England tonight in a pivotal Super Saturday finale that will decide the 2026 Six Nations. A victory of any kind will secure Fabien Galthie's men a record eighth title, after Ireland got the better of Scotland in Dublin. A bonus-point draw would also finish the job for Les Bleus.
Despite the two teams' vastly disparate stakes, they may be difficult to distinguish at Stade de France. Antoine Dupont will lead his men out in a special edition pale blue strip, yet England are still expected to play in white. Then again, their respective styles of play should quickly negate the kit clash.
Notwithstanding the extraordinary collapse against Scotland that destroyed their Grand Slam hopes, France have been electric and inventive throughout, a symphony conducted by Dupont and Matthieu Jalibert.
England, on the other hand, just don't seem to have a plan beyond kicking high for territory. Even when they win the ball back, nobody beyond Ben Earl and Jamie George is prepared to run with it and make things happen. Will it be more of the same, or will England throw caution to the wind and produce the sort of gutsy performance that gave France the fright of their lives in the Six Nations finale two years ago?
