LG’s new C4 OLED TV slots into the same sweet spot that made the C-series a living-room staple, but adds more brightness, higher gaming refresh rates and a still-aggressive price tag for premium buyers. The 55-inch LG C4 carries a US list price of around $1,799 at launch, positioning it squarely against other high-end 4K sets without the sticker shock of LG’s more extreme G4 series.

What the LG C4 OLED TV delivers in practice

The LG C4 remains a 4K OLED TV available in multiple screen sizes, from a compact 42 inches up to a wall-filling 83 inches, all sharing LG’s self-emissive OLED panel with individually controlled pixels for deep blacks and high contrast. LG equips the C4 line with its latest ?9 AI Processor 4K Gen7, which handles upscaling, dynamic tone mapping and motion processing to keep lower-resolution content looking sharp on the 4K panel. According to LG’s own product materials, the C4 supports key HDR formats such as Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, and comes preloaded with the latest version of webOS for streaming apps and smart-home integration, continuing the C-series recipe that has made it one of LG’s best-known premium TVs.

Compared with its C3 predecessor, LG highlights a bump in peak brightness on the C4, especially for HDR highlights, aiding performance in brighter living rooms and mixed-light environments. The company also maintains its focus on gaming, with four HDMI 2.1 ports that can each handle 4K signals at refresh rates up to 144 Hz from compatible PCs, along with variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low-latency mode (ALLM) for consoles.
