As we draw closer to March and college basketball season continues to heat up, the Mountain West still has a lot to be decided. With three games remaining for each team, San Diego State has clinched at least a share of the regular season title, but several seed positions in the conference tournament are wide open, including the three remaining first-round byes.
What do the top teams have left to play for? Which award races could be determined in the coming days? Let’s check in on where things stand in the Mountain West.

Their 218 made threes are already a program record, and they’ll likely set a new mark for attempts in their next game. Their mark of 35.0% from beyond the arc ranks in the top 40 in the nation, and it’s up from last season’s 33.9%.
It has all led to San Diego State’s best adjusted offensive efficiency since the 2012-13 season. They’ve done it with balance as well, as all five starters average between 7.5 and 13.5 points per game. San Diego State can clinch the regular season title outright with one more win – its next chance will come Wednesday at Boise State.
