Jon Crowley used to be the guy making pitches to television and movie studios. The former showrunner, producer, writer, and director has had a hand in several well-known titles on the big and small screen, like the hidden camera prank show “Impractical Jokers.”
Now heโs the guy pitching an entire state to his former colleagues in the biz. Crowley is the Executive Director of the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission (NJMPTVC), the agency that woos production companies to the Garden State, and then works with them once theyโre there. โWe're as hands on as you want us to be or not be,โ said Crowley. โWe're sort of concierge level.โ
