The 2021 college football season continues to open up with plenty of national games early in the week. Wednesday night, itโs a matchup between reigning Conference USA champs UAB and FCS program Jacksonville State. The Blazers are major favorites in this one, coming in as a revitalized FBS program and conference champion. The Gamecocks, however, remain a force to be reckoned with at the FCS level and essentially played two seasons last year. They went 3-1 in fall play and 6-1 in spring play, eventually making the FCS playoffs. Now, theyโll be looking for an upset. UAB, meanwhile, will be looking for a home tune-up at the Crampton Bowl.
