I'll start by saying this upfront: I really like my LG TV. During Black Friday, I scored a great deal on an LG C5 to replace my aging Samsung TV, and since setting it up in early December, it's been a joy to use. Whether I'm watching shows and movies or gaming on my Switch 2 or PC, the 4K OLED panel consistently impresses, delivering deep blacks, rich colors, and HDR that truly pops.
However, unfortunately, the out-of-the-box experience wasn't exactly perfect. While the picture quality was excellent, LG's webOS user interface left a lot to be desired. After digging through the settings menu, I realized just how many genuinely useful settings are buried away that can make using the TV noticeably better, whether it's turning off ads, squeezing out even better picture quality, or stopping the TV from tracking what you watch.
With that in mind, here are five settings I changed on my LG TV that instantly improved my experience and that you can easily change too.
